Home Life

Our home sits on an acre of land that provides us room to run and play outside as a family. The two big oak trees in the backyard provide the perfect spot for the tree swing and plenty of shade for the hot Texas days. Inside, we tend to gravitate to the playroom, which has space for family activities, and our living room that is open to the kitchen where we can all be together. 

Our neighborhood has a somewhat rural feel, but we are close to the city. In the mornings and evenings, there are neighbors out walking, running, and biking. Our neighborhood is quiet and has dark skies that are perfect for stargazing. Many of our neighbors have children Ashton’s age, so we regularly have the children play together in the evenings. We all get together for Halloween and birthday parties!

We are active members of our church community, which is a central part of our lives. Living just outside of Austin, we are just a short drive away from downtown and all the great activities the city has to offer. We can’t wait to bring another child with us to Boo at the Zoo and the Trail of Lights at Zilker Park.
