Our Home

We both grew up in neighborhoods with many children our same age and it allowed us to spend countless hours playing outside and develop life long friendships. Most of our fondest memories of childhood are riding bikes, playing flash light tag, and making s’mores around the bonfire.

Putting down roots in a similar type of neighborhood was incredibly important for our own family. After an extensive search, we looked at a house in Metro Detroit that backed up to a neighborhood park. At the showing, there were parents socializing and children playing in the park and we were sold. Over the last four years, we have developed close relationships with our neighbors and our son Pete has done the same with their kids. Together they enjoy playing in the park, the annual Easter egg hunt, outdoor driveway movies, the end of school year bounce house party, and riding their bikes and power wheels up and down our street! We have four bedrooms and a fully finished basement with a play room, exercise room, and tv room. Plenty of space for family of four.

We also love that the location is geographically close to both of our parents. This makes it easy for us to split our time between the two families. We are also walking distance (across the street) to the Blue Ribbon winning elementary, middle, and high school, as well as hundreds of miles of trails, city and state parks, and beaches. This location is absolutely perfect for all aspects of our family life and we are so lucky to have found it.
