Letter to Expectant Mother
Hello, we are Jessica and Michael and we are excited for your consideration!
We would like to start by sharing a little bit of our story and life with you.
First, a note from Jessica:
I have an intimate understanding of adoption, as I was adopted at birth. I am eternally grateful to my birth parents for the choice they made. In talking with my adoptive parents, I know it was not a decision that my birth parents made lightly and I believe it was probably the most difficult decision they’d ever had to make.
Being a mom myself, I now understand at a deeper level the difficulty of the choice you’re considering. I knew at a young age that I too would one day adopt; it was always a dream I carried. I believe my personal experience with adoption will bring insight and understanding, creating an incredibly special bond.
We have a heart to adopt because we believe it is a special way for a child to join a family. We share genetics with our parents, which creates a lasting connection. But we know genetics alone do not define our whole identity. There are various contributing factors, the primary one being love. We know we will be able to provide a loving and safe home to any child.
