The Big Brother

Our two sons are ages 3 and almost 5. They are both energetic but have very different personalities.

The older sibling, Caleb, is a bit of a socialite. He is very talkative and loves playing with the other kids in the neighborhood. Caleb is a dinosaur and bug enthusiast like many other children. He also enjoys riding his scooter, driving his Power Wheels Jeep, and swimming.

Ethan is the younger of the big brothers and he is quiet, always focusing on figuring out how the things around him work. He is very mechanically inclined. Ethan’s true passion right now is leggos. Some of the other things Ethan loves are swinging on the playset, playing with cars, and playing with stickers. 

The boys play inside quite a bit during the winter or when it is messy outside, but there is no denying they prefer to be outside. Playgrounds, taking walks, jumping on the trampoline, and playing soccer are all preferred activities for the boys.  

As a pair, the boys fight as brothers tend to do, but overall they have a loving sibling bond. They take care of each other by handing toys to one another, if there is an “ouchie,” they are quick to give hugs and kisses, and they are inseparable at bedtime. The boys are very excited about the prospect of a baby sister and we are looking forward to watching them bond with her as well!
