Meet Alex
I was born in Mexico. My parents wanted a better life for my brothers and me, so they moved us to Utah. It was a difficult move at first because of the language barrier. We also lived in humble circumstances to make ends meet. When I look back on my childhood, though, I only have good memories. Plus, I am now bilingual. I use both languages daily and hope to teach Spanish to this child.
As a young boy, I liked to play in the dirt, work in teams, and create things. Today, I luckily do all those things daily as a heavy machine operator. With nature as my office, I have the best view around!
Sometimes I come across as a bit shy; however, once you get to know me, you’ll find it hard to get me to stop talking. I am very interested in getting to know others and their thoughts and feelings. One question I like to ask is, “If you were an animal, what would you be and why?” My answer is easy: I would be a panda bear because I am curious, lovable, kind-hearted, and playful. Basically, I am a big kid at heart. That is why I get along so well with kids. I have fun doing artwork, reading books to my nieces and nephews in my ‘dragon voice,’ and playing games.
Known for my ‘dad jokes’ and one-liners, I try to bring laughter to those around me. I love to see my wife’s smile, so I do whatever I can to invite that smile in our home daily.
