Meet Amber

Amber comes from a really supportive and loving Christian family. Even though they live about four hours away from us, they’re still very close. Amber talks with them daily, and we see them several times throughout the year. 

Ever since Amber was a child, she’s had a passion for animals. That probably explains why we have two dogs, four barn cats, four inside cats and two horses! Well, Amber is lucky enough to be able to put her passion to work each day, as a registered veterinary nurse. She has a really flexible schedule, working mostly from home, and only needing to be at the clinic one day a week. When Amber isn’t working or taking care of our animals, you can probably find her crafting, baking, horseback riding or just relaxing at home. 

Anyone who knows Amber knows that she’s going to be an amazing mom. She spent many years babysitting, and absolutely adores children. Although she’s no longer a full-fledged babysitter, she still watches our friends’ children regularly when they go out for date nights. She always looks forward to these evenings and has a blast with the kids. Amber also gives horseback riding lessons to our friend’s daughters on a weekly basis. I love watching her interact with them and seeing how much fun she’s having teaching them how to ride. I know she can’t wait to do the same with the child that we adopt! She also spoils our dogs so much. Our little chihuahua has baby blankets and an elephant that he loves and Amber carries him around all day long. She even has a little pouch to put him in.
