Meet Bridget

Like myself, Bridget was raised by a civil servant. Her mother worked for the federal government for more than 30 years! Despite this, Bridget was still the first person in her family to go to college. She became interested in languages and learned to speak fluent German. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree, she spent two years in Germany teaching English to German students while she earned her Master’s degree.

After teaching German for almost ten years, Bridget got a second Master’s degree and became a reading specialist. She has since used her degrees to become an English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher. Bridget works with immigrant populations where the needs go far beyond learning English. My wife selflessly goes above and beyond being a teacher. She routinely helps students with social services issues that help both the student and their family. Helping children reach their true potential is a very important part of her life.

Beyond all of this, the reason I love Bridget is that she has the kindest and most caring heart of anyone I’ve ever met. She is willing to lend a helping hand to anyone she meets, and would do anything for those she loves. Did I mention that she’s really funny too? No matter how tough of a day I’ve experienced, Bridget can always bring a smile to my face.
