Our Home
We bought our house as a bit of a fixer-upper in 2014. It needed all new carpet and paint and a thorough scrubbing. It took several weeks, but it was worth it in the end! Our home has a large kitchen with an island made out of reclaimed bowling alley wood and two bedrooms that are the perfect size for kids. We have also added several garden beds in the backyard for growing produce and a rose garden in the front.
Our neighborhood is close enough to Indianapolis to make it a short commute to work but still has the feeling of a small-town community. There is an ice cream shop in between our house and our local library which is accessible by trails. Heading out for a book and banana split is a fun summer family activity! We also live close to several parks with hiking trails and lakes where we like to spend time outside in nature.
We have a wonderful church community with which we are involved, and we both have cousins in the area. Close friends of ours and other families at our church have also adopted and are really supportive of our decision. Our friends and community are excited for us as we take the next step to growing our family.
