Our Family

We grew up with very large, supportive families, having many crazy, fun get-togethers.  Rachel is one of the younger cousins in her family, and learned all about hiding candy from parents, how to beat Super Mario Brothers, and of the best classic rock music from her seven loving cousins.  Tommy is the only boy and has twelve female cousins!  He grew up being dressed up (with full makeup) by all those girls!  He is extremely close with each of them, and we look forward to family reunions, frying fish from the lake where their grandmother lived or hosting Thanksgiving and crawfish boils at our house. 

While Tommy’s father has passed away, his memory is kept alive and will be shared with the child.  His mother lives not five minutes from our home, and she would love to welcome another grandchild into our family with open arms.

Rachel’s family lives in New Orleans, and we visit often.  Both of her parents are natural grandparents and can’t wait to meet the new baby!  Her two brothers, one who has two young children, are more than elated to welcome a baby into our family.  We are excited that the child will grow up playing with cousins near their age and hopefully have the same cousin relationship that we both cherish so much.

We also have a little rescue dog, Ellie, who absolutely adopted us—not the other way around!  She is spoiled rotten and loves having kids to play with!  She is so gentle with our young nieces and nephews and can’t wait to have a little partner in crime!
