Our Family

We are so grateful to live in the area we were raised. Jordan’s parents live in the town 10 minutes away, and Kali’s parents live on a farm 25 minutes away. We love having our family close and are grateful that Elyse knows her grandparents so well. 

We see our family weekly and enjoy meals together often. We also have two of Kali’s brothers, Kali’s aunt and uncle, and Jordan’s grandma nearby. Jordan and Kali’s other siblings live in the same state and visit often. We are blessed to have such an involved support system.

Prior to adopting Elyse, adoption was already a part of our family. Kali’s uncle and two aunts were adopted at birth. When we shared our decision to adopt, our family was immediately on board and ready to help us in any way. We have been so fortunate to have an adoptee’s perspective and are grateful for Elyse to have access to this perspective if she has any questions about being adopted in the future.
