Our Hobbies & Interests

We love to enjoy the great outdoors! We plant a veggie garden every spring, spending time daily tending our tomatoes and peppers, so come summer we can enjoy homemade salsa and pickled sweet peppers.

We can’t wait for the day that a child will join us stomping in rain puddles while we plant new seeds for the year. 

We have a bucket-list of places that we’d like to travel. So whenever we get time to take a vacation, we choose a place off the list. It’s always some place where we can enjoy fun, outdoor activities. The seven wonders of the world are included on the list, as are places that are nice and cold, where we can enjoy hiking and seeing the fall leaves. 

Matt loves fishing. He’s really enjoyed fishing with our nieces and nephews, teaching them how to choose a lure and how to tie a hook onto the line. Ellen, on the other hand, grew up with a love for baking and cooking. She enjoys sharing that passion with people she loves, and teaching our nieces and nephews in the kitchen.

Although we enjoy all of the major holidays, Halloween is definitely our favorite! We have a ton of fun decorating every year so we can have a big party with our friends and family. We cannot wait to celebrate and dress up with a little one!
