Our Home
Our home is a wonderful 1970’s ranch-style house that has been such a blessing. We really enjoy hosting family and friends in our large kitchen and dining area. We have three bedrooms and two family rooms where we visit and play. The kids share bedrooms for now and love it. We anticipate that a fourth child will share a bedroom as well, with their sisters or brother. The yard is spacious, with a treehouse that often becomes a gathering spot for other children in the neighborhood.
There are several families with children near us that have been so fun getting to know. We live in a well established, very friendly, primarily African-American neighborhood. Neighbors in our area have known each other for 30+ years, and we have loved becoming friends with them. We are zoned for a great school that is highly rated-academically and ethnically diverse. Both are important factors for us.
We love our community. Not only do we have good friendships in our neighborhood, but we have amazing relationships with our church family, many of whom we see on a weekly basis. We live on the coast and regularly take advantage of the beach. Our kids like going to the local children’s museum, the aquarium and the library. They also run us tirelessly at all of the great parks that are very close to our house! We find a lot of joy in the simple things.
