Our Multicultural Family

Alejandra grew up in Merida, Mexico with her parents and sister. We have gone several times to see them since Sam was born and they have come to visit us. Every year we love to travel to Ale’s hometown in Mexico to visit Ale’s parents – and of course to eat amazing Mexican and Mayan food! Sam loves spending time with his abuelitos (grandparents). Unfortunately, her father passed away in 2025, which has been very hard on us. 

Her sister and brother-in-law live close to us in Utah. Her brother-in-law loves movies and storytelling, and her sister is a certified social worker. They are wonderful with Sam and can’t wait to love on another sweet child.

Eric grew up with his parents and two siblings. His brother and sister-in-law have five kids, and his sister and brother-in-law have a sweet baby girl. Sam loves spending time with his cousins, his grandma, and grandpa. We are lucky that all of Eric’s family members all live within 30 minutes of us.
