Our Traditions

Holidays are a big part of our family! We usually try to spend an even amount of time with both sides for each special day. We are so happy and excited to share our traditions with a child!

On Christmas Eve, we go to Justin’s grandma’s house where we play the saran wrap ball game. If you haven’t played before, you have two dice and when you land on a double number, you pass the saran wrap ball to the next person. Wrapped in the ball there are prizes like candy, gift cards, and fun surprises. We have a lot of fun with it!

On Christmas morning, we make homemade donuts, eggs, and sausage together at home. We then open our stockings and gifts with our pets. Around dinner time, we get together with Amber’s family. We usually exchange presents and catch up.

Thanksgiving and Easter are very special too! On Easter, we usually do a big Easter Egg Hunt with Amber’s family. Everyone is always trying to find the Golden Egg (which has $100 in it). Afterward, we’ll visit and have a nice dinner with Justin’s family. The week before Thanksgiving, we host a “friendsgiving” with our close friends. Amber is an amazing cook, and usually makes everyone turkey or ham. After dinner, we go to our town’s horse parade where the horses parade down main street with Christmas spirit.

Holidays are so important to us and we cannot wait to share them with a child. We are so ready to spoil this little bundle of joy and I think our family is too!
