Chris – being a pastor, reading, listening to Bible and theology podcasts, playing guitar, baseball, and drinking lots of black coffee.
Megan – cooking (and the kids love to help!), working a few hours a week as a reference librarian, homeschooling our children, Gilmore Girls, and nightly bubble baths.
Annette – gymnastics, dancing, Emma Wiggle, Candy Land, unicorns, pretending to be a mommy, and animals.
Abraham – all things tractors and farm equipment, Blippi, cars, taking rides on papa’s tractor, and riding the train at the zoo.
Castiel – watching his siblings, eating just about everything, splashing in the water, being with mama, sleeping, and chewing on toys.
As a family – taking walks, reading, getting ice cream in town with grandma and papa, family zoo trips, and playing outside together, visiting playgrounds and splash pads in the summer.
Our parenting goal: Intentionally raise our children up in a Christ-centered family teaching them to love and know him and to fulfill the greatest commands: “Love God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. And…love your neighbor as yourself” (Mt. 22:37, 39). Part of this is also fostering a closeness between us and them and between each other as siblings.
