Traditions

We love spending time together as a family, and it is great to be able to share traditions with our kids that are meaningful to them and build loving memories.

Spring: We have season passes to the zoo, and we take our kids there often to walk around and look at all the different animals.

Summer: We have passes to Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun. We love to take the kids there to go on rides and swim together as a family. We also try to do something special for the Fourth of July so the kids can watch fireworks and stay up late.

Fall: We always look forward to going to the cider mill and pumpkin patch near to us, letting the kids pick out pumpkins and carving them together. We also love football – GO Chiefs!

Winter: Christmas is a beautiful tradition that we celebrate. We always spend Christmas morning together at home. On Christmas Eve, we all open one present, which has pajamas for each member of our family. We then open presents on Christmas morning wearing our new pajamas. Then we usually celebrate by having a huge meal with our extended family.
