Peace, joy, laughter, safety and Jesus are the core of our family.
We attend a non-denominational church and are helping our little boys understand how much Jesus loves them, that God is the biggest and prayer is powerful. We also are big believers in “peaceful parenting.” Which means that chaos and yelling are not welcome in our home. Not saying it never happens, we are all human after all. But everyone is given space to feel what they’re feeling and the grace to walk it out honestly. When a cup is spilled we simply clean it up together. People are more important than things. Things can be replaced, feelings cannot be unhurt. Words are important and powerful, we are careful to use them wisely with each other and are teaching our little boys to do the same.
Chewey is our very calm Chihuahua who faithfully snuggles and protects his humans. Boo is our almost 2 year old black kitty who loves to be loved, allowing anyone and everyone willing, to carry him around & hug & squeeze him. Lovey is our new pupper—a Lab/Retriever mix. She lives up to her name, loving and playing with all who are interested. Especially if it involves running around in our fenced-in yard.
