That time of the year

Well it is beginning to warm up and that mean that it is Maple syrup seaon! Travis and Dale, our neighbor, have been out in the woods most everyday last week, hooking the trees up so they can collect the sap and boil it down into maple syrup! I always tease Travis about this time of the year that he disappears into the woods, but I am the one who started him on maple syruping, or sugaring as it is known, as I grew up sugaring every year with my Dad and brothers. I really enjoy the smell of the syrup as it boils down and there is nothing like the first taste of warm syrup from your first boil!! Yummy!!
