Hi, I’m Ellen! I grew up in a beach town in South Florida. The salt air runs in my blood and the beach is still my favorite place in the world. I have a small family, just my mom and dad and one brother. Growing up, I loved playing sports, Harry Potter, singing in choir, spending time with my friends, and cooking with my Grandmother. As an adult, not much has changed. I still love attending sporting events, listening to music, cooking for the people I love.
After spending time working in public relations, I found my true passion in seminary at Duke University, becoming a pastor and nonprofit executive director. These days I am devoted to my work advocating for families experiencing homelessness and empowering women in their journey to becoming whole and healthy. I love spending time with the kids in my life, whether it be my nieces and nephews or the kids in my church. I am passionate about being a mentor and friend to them as they grow.
