About Him

In late summer 2009, my friend invited me out for a birthday party, which is were Steven and I met. Sitting down for a big dinner at an Italian restaurant was a little daunting, seeing as I only knew my friend. Very quickly my anxiety was eased when a conversation with Steve began. We planned to meet up a week later and this time I brought my sister along to see what she thought of him. By the end of the night she had given me a thumbs up, and I knew this was something very special.

When we got our first, very small apartment, we learned to appreciate the little things in life. We were tightly budgeted, had blank walls with no dDor and no matching furniture. Steve had the great idea to have puzzle date nights. As soon as our first puzzle was finished, he got glue, a frame and hung it up in our living room. Our love for board games grew as we continued to have date nights at home, staying up late competing to be the champion in Mario Kart and Uno.

Steven and I got married in 2012 and spent a few years enjoying married life before having our son. Watching Steven become a father has been an incredible blessing. He is devoted to learning, adapting and growing with our son. He loves to read books to our son, sing songs, do silly dances, and teach him new things. I look forward to the day Steven and our son can read a book to the newest addition to the family. Any child would be blessed to have Steven as their father.
