Meet Spencer

Spencer is the nurturer of the family, always warm, loving, sensitive and supportive. People always compliment him for his ability to listen with empathy, and it’s so common for his friends to come to him with their problems. He’s great at advice and loves making people feel better. He loves cooking for the ways that it brings people together and nourishes them, and feeding others is how he shows love. More than anything, he loves making people laugh. He’s also a fantastic writer and adores reading, usually a book a week. In fact, he’s already begun a collection of children’s books.

Something I’ve always admired about Spencer is his bravery in all things. He jumps off cliffs without being able to see the bottom, and he always lands on his feet. He’s always loved cooking and wanted to do it professionally but had a successful career in interior design that he just did not love. He decided to start all over again and within months had a flourishing career in food styling. If you open a food magazine, there’s a good chance he cooked that actual food! I’ve never seen him happier.

Spencer is going to be a really nurturing and gentle father, and his sensitivity is one of his best qualities—even 30-second commercials make him cry! He’s great at teaching others, and I know he’s particularly looking forward to introducing a child to so many wonderful interests and hobbies and, most importantly, great books to read to them at night.

Spencer is working on a cookbook for beginners that he hopes to get published in the next few years.
