Our Family and Friends

Our families could not be more different. Ellen’s family is small with just her parents and brother and Matt’s family is large including his parents, four siblings, and many nieces and nephews. One thing is the same about both though, we are very tight knit. We live in the same town as Matt’s family. Everyone’s homes are within 15 minutes. The family is often together, whether it be for birthday parties or watching one of the kid’s activities. 

Matt and his brother, Cody, are close in age, so they’re like twins; and Ellen is best friends with his wife, Nikki, so the four of us spend a lot of time together. They just had a baby girl last year, and we’re all excited for her to grow up alongside the child we adopt. They’ll go to the same school and spend lots of time together at our house and on vacation together. 

Our friends are so close that they are like family too. From attending church, spending weekends hanging out in the pool, to going on Disney camping trips together; we spend a lot of time together. They show up for all the most important moments and we couldn’t imagine our lives without them.
