Our Story

Hi! We are Katherine and John. Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us!

Like many couples now-a-days, we met online. Our first date was around Halloween 2006. We spent it walking around Salem, MA, looking at the local seasonal attractions and museums. At the end of the day, we were having so much fun that we ended up going to a movie at a local theater. Our date lasted about eight hours and we couldn’t wait to see each other again. We continued dating for three years before getting engaged. We had a great time while dating. We really got to know each other, each other’s families and we grew more and more in love!

We got married in 2010 and have always dreamed of having a family. After struggling with infertility for several years, our bond as a couple only got stronger. We have never been more certain that adoption is the right path to build our family. We have a lot of love for each other and we can’t wait to share that love with a child.

We are very excited to share the things that we enjoy as a couple with a child: going to our family camp in Maine, spending time at the beach, watching movies, summer days in the backyard by the fire pit, and most importantly spending time with our family and the friends we love so much!
