If you should choose us to join you in this journey of loving this child, we want you to know that the weight of this is not lost on us. You are trusting us with your child’s wellbe- ing and future, and for that we are grateful. Raising your child will be a privilege and a task we will not take lightly. Just as we are committed to each other, so will we commit ourselves to this child – completely, for a lifetime, through good days and hard days, in laughter and in tears, when they’re celebrating and when they’re grieving. Our love will be steady and un- changing; nothing they can do will make us love them more or less; we’ll love them every day for simply being them. And we’ll love you, too, even if we don’t know you yet.

• Love your child unconditionally for exactly who they are.

• Provide educational opportunity to pursue their dreams and develop their talents

• Put before them a “feast” of knowledge where they can grow their interest

• Show them the world they live in and encourage them to experience new things

• Honor your child’s heritage and background and encourage them to learn about their roots

  – both biological as well as adoptive.

• Maintain open hearts toward you and your family.
